Carbon Exchange

Regrow-trees will set up a carbon exchange(CCX), where it will offer carbon credits from its own tree plantations where every tree is tracked by a verified and certified serial number.

Carbon exchange refers to a market-based mechanism where companies and governments can buy and sell carbon credits to offset their carbon emissions. A carbon credit represents a permit to emit a certain amount of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere. Companies that emit more than their allowed limit can purchase credits from companies that have reduced their emissions below their limit, thus incentivizing emission reductions.

The goal of carbon exchanges is to provide a financial incentive for companies to reduce their carbon emissions, which can help mitigate the impact of climate change. Carbon exchanges can also help governments meet their emissions reduction targets under international climate agreements like the Paris Agreement.

Examples of carbon exchanges include the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) in the northeastern United States.

Carbon Exchange

Regrow is a carbon exchange market place where carbon units can be traded. This exchange is aviailable to foresters and people who owns trees in their front and back yards, besides Regrow plantations. Regrow carbon exchange determines fair value for carbon units or credits.

Accreditation

Trees planted through Regrow-trees are accounted for and can be easily verified using GPS coordinates, and satellite imagery. The growth of the plantation can be verified on a regular basis. These plantation data is available for any third party verification for accredition purposes and to qualify for assigning carbon credits.

Growth

Growth of the planted trees can be calculated using various growth measurement tools which helps in calculating board feet of the trees in the plantation.
